Description

The city of Perleberg is located in the northwest of Brandenburg in close proximity to the state borders of Lower Saxony, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and Saxony-Anhalt in the district of Prignitz. The Perleberg open-air swimming pool was built in the 1960s in connection with the large residential area of Perleberg Ost. The now 60-year-old outdoor pool is to be renovated in order to preserve the outdoor pool as a cultural institution and as a meeting point for many Perleberger and Perlebergerinnen. For this purpose, total project costs (KG 300-700) of approximately EUR 2.1 million including VAT were calculated as part of a cost estimate. Due to the partially desolate condition, the social and changing rooms are only partially used, the technical facilities are outdated, the hygiene standards no longer meet the current requirements and there are restrictions on accessibility throughout the site. The refurbishment of the site is intended to preserve the outdoor swimming pool for the population in Perleberg and in the region in the future. The use should be designed as barrier-free as possible to improve the quality of the technical equipment and bath hygiene. The project is to be partially funded by the Federal Programme SJK (Rehabilitation of Municipal Institutions for Sport, Youth and Culture). For this purpose, a certification in the sense of the "Quality Seal Sustainable Building" (QNG) is sought or at least the consideration of the criteria mentioned therein (reciprocal greenhouse gas emissions and primary energy demand, sustainable material extraction, pollutant avoidance in building materials, accessibility, natural hazards, green roof potentials).
