Description

The Commander of Netherlands Naval Forces in the Caribbean (CZMCARIB) currently has 6 Support Crafts (SC) equipped for supporting civilian authorities in general, and specifically for deployment in humanitarian assistance and disaster relief (HADR) operations. The SC’s are reaching their End Life of Type (ELOT). Therefore, a project is launched for the need of a replacement capacity. This project aims to better equip CZMCARIB to fulfill tasks related to supporting civilian authorities, and HADR in particular; Establishing and maintaining (military) logistical supply lines during HADR operations by transporting personnel and equipment from the mothership to poorly accessible coastal areas and vice versa is essential. The required capacity can be fulfilled by deploying light landing crafts for the CZMCARIB boat squadron, hereafter referred to as Caribbean Support Crafts (CSC). Material and IT Command (COMMIT) is preparing a tender on behalf of the Royal Netherlands Navy (RNLN) for the acquisition of Carribean Support Crafts (CSC). In preparation for the tendering of the CSC, COMMIT has decided to first conduct a market consultation. The purpose of this consultation is solely to explore the market and its ability to meet the needs of the RNLN. Further relevant information can be found in the document attached.
