The purpose of the contract is to develop a feasibility study of a lander system for a Mars helicopter as part of the Polish contribution to NASA's Mars missions. The procedure is carried out as part of the work of the Polish Space Agency related to the building of a strategic partnership with NASA and the implementation of the task "Identification of missions and feasibility analysis for the Polish contribution to the NASA mission in the field of aerial technologies - Phase 0/A". The project should contribute to: 1) Strengthening the Polish industry's flight experience in space missions aimed at exploring Mars, 2) Increasing the position of the Polish space sector from suppliers of space technologies and components (Tier IV) to suppliers of integrated flight systems (Tier III), 3) Minimizing the costs and risks of Mars missions and maximizing the efficiency of Mars helicopter flight, increasing the mass of scientific cargo and enabling access to more dangerous and higher-altitude areas on Mars in the MSH mission, 4) Strengthening the strategic partnership with NASA JPL by developing a product that meets the needs of Mars missions planned in 2026-2040.
