The municipality of The Hague wants to enter into an agreement for the renovation and expansion of the Haags Historisch Museum (HHM) at Korte Vijverberg 7 in The Hague. The HHM is located in a seventeenth-century national monument that has had countless different functions over the centuries. In 1986, after large-scale restoration and renovation, the historical museum of the city of The Hague was established here. The HHM tells the story of the origins, development and the many interesting inhabitants of the city. The building and the permanent presentation of the HHM do not currently meet the requirements of the visitor. The museum has been struggling for years with a lack of space, both in terms of visitor facilities, exhibition and presentation spaces, workspaces and offices, storage and installation spaces. From a management point of view, interventions are required. In addition, interventions are necessary to keep the museum attractive for visitors.
