DK-Aarhus: servers
The contracting entity wishes to pool all purchases of clusternodes on a number of framework agreements.
It is expected that under the agreements a total of approximately 100-150 nodes will be purchased annually. It should be noted that this figure may vary from year to year and that purchases are entirely dependent on the appropriations obtained by Ordregiver.
However, the final volume of purchases depends on the specific needs arising from the duration of the framework agreements. The framework agreement runs for two years, with a possible extension for one year, twice.
The procuring entity will conclude an open framework agreement with six suppliers, subject to the receipt of sectoral tenders. This means that all procurements under the framework agreement will be made on the basis of mini tenders.
The tender concerns future purchases of clusternodes for Aarhus University.
In this context, the concept of clusternodes covers servers that will typically be acquired in a relatively stort number and where the focus is on the server’s capabilities in terms of floating number operations and communication. The number of servers must be capable of being packed tightly, for example as rackmountable units or as components for mounting ienclosures where they share, for example, common power supplies and fans.
The clusternodes will be used mainly for numerical calculations in the technical/scientific disciplines.
The winning bidders are not guaranteed any sale under the framework agreement.
