Description

The work consists of improving the primary flood defence between Cuijk and Ravenstein, dike section 36-2 Land van Heusden de Maaskant 2, located on the south side of the Maas between Cuijk and Ravenstein (from dike pole 174 to Dijkpaal 382) and runs from the railway bridge Mook to just after the bridge A50 near Ravenstein, where the assignment Cuijk Ravenstein connects to project Meanderende Maas. In the Flood Protection Programme, the Cuijk - Ravenstein dike section has been included as one of the most urgent dike sections to strengthen. The concrete reason for the Cuijk - Ravenstein project is that the dike on the Brabant side of this river section does not meet the safety standards that have been in force since 1 January 2017. The area that floods in the event of a breakthrough extends to 's-Hertogenbosch. With this, the dike route has the standard of 1:10,000. The review by the Water Safety Department shows that on the Cuijk-Ravenstein route there is a problem in large parts with regard to height, stability and piping. In total, about 21 kilometres of dike must be improved within this route. Along the route are a number of cores of which Grave is the largest. In Grave, the flood defences consist in part of the monumental fortification walls that were reinforced at the end of the last century in the context of the high water task at the time. Other residential areas on the dike are Overlangel and Neerloon. The realisation task of this dike improvement consists for the most part of the route of ground dikes with possibly a longitudinal construction for stability and / or against piping. The purpose of this invitation to tender is to conclude a construction team agreement with the winning tenderer with a possible follow-up for the realization of the project in the form of one or more UAV-gc contract(s). Phase 1 of this call for tenders concerns a selection phase, with the aim of selecting three candidates who will advance to phase 2 of the call for tenders, the dialogue and the tender phase.
