Security Monitoring OT Environment (OT Monitoring)
ewz does not currently have a comprehensive OT monitoring solution for the systematic monitoring of the OT infrastructure at the various locations. The MoniTOR project aims to procure and implement a professional OT monitoring solution. The aim is to monitor around 90% of all OT systems, whereby micro-locations are deliberately excluded from the scope. The new solution is expected to make a significant contribution to meeting the ICT minimum standard and significantly increase the cybersecurity of ewz's critical infrastructure. Systematic monitoring of the OT environment detects threats at an early stage, increases visibility into the state of the infrastructure and efficiently supports incident response processes. The new OT monitoring system introduces a central management console that makes it possible to automatically detect, correlate and assign alarms to the responsible persons. Clear dashboards and visualizations should make the safety and operating status of the systems recognizable at a glance. The project covers the areas of "plants and networks", "power plants" and "district heating" of ewz, while ewz Informatik and OIZ are explicitly excluded from the scope.
