Description

Kölner Verkehrs-Betriebe AG is modernising the Nord bus depot in the 2nd district. Construction phase fundamental to enable the full electrification of the fleet by 2030. The core is the adaptation of the parking concept: In the future, the bus will be parked in storage blocks with steel trusses for loading hoods. The charging infrastructure is bundled in a raised technology latch. The traffic areas as well as the surface drainage will be completely renewed. The washing hall is fundamentally renovated for use by electric buses and provided with a working pit. In addition, the workshop will be expanded by seven workstations and the vehicle service building will be energetically renovated and extended by a two-storey extension. The existing spare parts warehouse will be modernized and equipped with new equipment. The realization of all measures takes place while maintaining the bus and workshop operation. The tendered services include civil engineering and marking work in connection with the fitting-out of the construction site facilities as well as the production of the construction electricity and construction water supply for the construction project. Another focus of the services is the delivery, assembly, storage and disassembly of container systems over a period of approximately 41 months.
