New digestion plant KA trash cans - Lot 02 Technical equipment
New digestion plant at the Troisdorf-Müllekoven sewage treatment plant: The Troisdorf-Müllekoven wastewater treatment plant is currently being expanded to a capacity of 84,000 p.e. The districts of Troisdorf, Troisdorf West, Friedrich-Wilhelms-Hütte, Oberlar, Sieglar, Eschmar, Rotter See, Kriegsdorf, Müllekoven and Bergheim form the catchment area of the sewage treatment plant. The predominantly urban wastewater flows into the wastewater treatment plant via a mixed water collector DN 1200. According to DIN 1995, one of the two digester tanks exceeded the technical service life of 50 years, while the second digester tank almost reached the maximum technical service life. In addition, both containers are contaminated with asbestos. The agitators are outdated. The project includes the construction of new digester tanks (current demand planning provides for two digester tanks), the renewal of the heating system (plus buildings), the installation of new or existing combined heat and power plants (CHP), the expansion of the gas tank volume and the expansion of the power supply (emergency power supply, in future too. feed-in by AGRI PV system). The new building must be carried out while maintaining the existing wastewater treatment plant operation. The multifunctional heating system for digester and building heating (burns digester gas or oil) is about 30 years old and urgently needs to be replaced technically. It also serves as an emergency system in the event of failure of the CHP plants. There are no more spare parts available. The existing CHP plants are over 10 years old and will soon be replaced by new CHP plants. In addition, the gas cleaning system (Siloxa) is outdated. The feed-in capacity has been reached. In addition to the existing gas storage, a new gas container will be installed to increase the storage volume overall. This is the only way to make intelligent use of the AGRI-PV electricity in the future, as gas power generation via CHP plants will then take place in the evening and night hours. In addition, the "flashing" of excess digestive gas is reduced. According to the EU - Municipal Waste Water Directive, the energy demand of the sewage treatment plant is to be phased in (2030: 50%; 2035: 75% and 2040: 100%) will be converted to own renewable energy production. Part of this implementation is the renewal and expansion of the digestive gas production and gas storage. In the course of the planning, the dismantling of the old digester tanks is planned. However, according to the current state of knowledge, the dismantling work is to be carried out outside this project at a much later date.
