The Cell Snatch Rescue Equipment (CSRE) was awarded to Semmco LPS Ltd. after a tender project was run in 2008 in conjunction with the Irish Prison Service (IPS), Her Majesty's Prison Service, and the Northern Ireland Prison Service. This provision is a bespoke design and is manufactured by Semmco LPS Ltd. only. IPS have 4500 Prison Officers trained in the use of this CSRE equipment manufactured by Semmco LPS Ltd. The equipment is for the safe extraction of Prisoners from a cell fire while providing breathing protection for the Prison Officer.
