The city council of Almere has expressed its wish to contribute to equality of opportunity and broad participation in the city. She wants to achieve this by offering a City Pass. It aims to ensure that everyone – regardless of their financial situation – can participate in sport, culture and other social activities. The pass should not be stigmatizing and is therefore available to all residents of Almere. The Stadspas is also a practical tool for policy goals within the social domain, including poverty reduction. The pass contributes to the accessibility of the city and encourages participation and encounter.
