SLU wishes to sign a framework agreement with one or more suppliers with the task of supplying SLU with consumables within forestry, agriculture, service and lumberyard as set out in Chapter 3. During 2025 to 2027, SLU will carry out an advisory and concept development project aimed at the target group of farmers engaged in beef and lamb production at smaller units in Västra Götaland. The operation is financed by the County Administrative Board of Västra Götaland and therefore the physical training effort will take place on site in Västra Götaland. The purpose of the new concept ‘Enterprise Lift Farming’ is, on the one hand, to enhance farmers’ expertise in business management and risk management and, on the other hand, to develop the above-mentioned concept for business analysis. Through Företagslyft Lantbruk, farmers are provided with tools that help them identify waste and improvement potentials in their operations, while they are coached in groups to make changes and trained in methods that increase their ability to continuously work with production improvement measures in all parts of their company. The further development of the concept ‘Business Lift Farming’ is about adapting the material to a greater extent so that it becomes even more applicable in practice and increases its usefulness. This is to enable ‘Business Lifting Farming’ to become a method that can be used by farmers who both on their own, or in a group of farmers, for example in the form of study circles, want to work with business development. The goal is profitable, sustainable and competitive companies with beef and lamb production that can manage risks and develop their operations for the future. The procurement involves group coaching of farmers who produce dairy veal, young nut or lamb and who are engaged in their production on a part-time basis. Three advisors shall be procured, one per animal species, where each advisor coaches a group of farmers, 9-10 farmers per group, based on the training material in ‘Company lift agriculture’. The advisor's coaching includes a total of 6 physical and 4 digital meetings with his group during the years 2025 to 2027. The assignment also includes development work on the business analysis concept ‘Business lift Agriculture’ together with researchers at SLU and, at the end of the project, to participate in a dialogue meeting to disseminate the project’s results. The number expected to be needed for each advisor is estimated to be between 300-350.
