The client, AVA Abfallverwertung Augsburg (AVA Waste Recycling Augsburg), was founded on 20 July 1893. The company was founded in 1991 as a limited liability company (GmbH). On 02.01.2019, the company was converted into a municipal enterprise (KU). The guarantor of the KU is the Abfallzweckverband Augsburg (AZV), whose members are the city of Augsburg as well as the districts of Augsburg and Aichach-Friedberg.
