Health Education England (HEE) is the national leadership organisation responsible for ensuring the education, training and workforce development drives the highest quality public health and patient outcome. Health Education North East (HENE) is a committee of HEE responsible for the delivery of this responsibility within the North East and North Cumbria. One of the responsibilities of HENE is the organisation, management and quality assurance of postgraduate training to doctors and dentists in regulatory (General Medical Council or General Dental Council) approved training posts. HENE is responsible for approximately 3 000 medical and dental trainees. HENE have a requirement for the provision of a research service. The major component will be to undertake research into the provision of medical and dental education and training that impact on the region. This requirement does not include the provision for clinical research or trials. This framework opportunity is for 24 months with the option to extend for 12 months plus 12 months.
