Stadtwerke Saarbrücken Netz AG (SWN) in Saarbrücken intends to build an above-ground substation with voltage levels of up to 110 kV on the property, Saarbrücken district, corridor 10, parcel 19/24. The property is located at the corner of Malstatter Straße / Gersweilerstraße. Stadtwerke Saarbrücken Netz AG is replacing the existing Werderstraße substation with the planned ‘Busbetriebshof’ substation. The systems installed there are no longer permanently maintainable due to their advanced age and lack of spare parts. The aim of the replacement construction is a continuous and efficient energy transmission that meets current and future grid requirements.
