Description

OSETH SA has been established by Law 4482/2017 (Government Gazette, Series I, No 107) as the supervisory body for the transport project provided in its area of responsibility, which geographically corresponds to the Regional Unit of Thessaloniki. In accordance with Article 54(3) of Law 4568/2018, as amended by Article 38 of Law 4663/2020, OSETH is responsible for assigning part of the transport project to the Regional Unit of Thessaloniki. In this context, it has already tendered a public international tender through the competitive dialogue procedure through the National Electronic Public Procurement System (ESIDIS 357397), but it is not expected that the contract will be awarded by the end of 2025. With this contract, only the transport project currently carried out by KTEL Thessaloniki, which during the planning of the year 2024 amounted to 20 400 000 vehicle-kilometres, is being auctioned. The execution of the contract is estimated to require at least 235 buses (together with spare vehicles), owned or leased, of the type and type suitable for urban transport, with the possibility of serving people with disabilities with a system and within the age limits provided by the applicable legislation. However, urban types are considered to be acceptable: 12-meter, modular and midi. It is noted that in the current period, the digital transformation project of OSETH is being implemented, which will lead, among other things, to an Automatic Fare Collection System (ASKS), a Vehicle Telematic Monitoring and Information System for passengers. The project is expected to be delivered in November 2024 and therefore the new provider will have to cooperate and follow OSETH's orders on telematics and programming for the introduction of new technology systems for passenger service.
