The construction project is the construction of a new waterworks in Ylimarkku.The construction consists of three floors with a floor area of approximately 827 m2 and a volume of approximately 8000 m3.The frame is concrete.The construction is located in the town of Närpiö, in the village of Ylimarkku, in the area of a property called Syren RNo 545 – 430 – 29 – 144 Scope of the contractThe construction project is aimed at the new waterworks in Valsberg, when fully operational. The contract will be implemented as a shared contract. The total amount of the contract is 8 500 000 € A brief description of the process Water is taken from the current five minesAir conditioning cabinet for the extraction of carbon dioxide and the oxidation of iron and manganese The aeration phase consists of two parallel aeration cabinets in which most of the carbonic acid in the water is converted into carbon dioxide and aerated away. From the oxidation tank, the water is directed to six parallel downstream sand filters of two media, each with an area of 8 m2 . This separates the formed oxidation products and removes the natural turbidity. The water filtered from the two media filters is led to six parallel downstream alkali filters filled with calcium carbonate (CaCO3) pulp to increase alkalinity and calcium content. Treated household water is disinfected with UV light.
