Description

The Contracting Authority intends to enter into an Agreement for the supply of Micronaut plates, including associated services. The delivery concerns approximately 80-90 boxes of 100 plates on an annual basis. No rights can be derived from this statement. In 2014, the VMDC introduced a new method for susceptibility testing of bacteria. Before that, the VMDC used the disk diffusion method. In order to continue to guarantee quality, it was decided in 2014 to switch to the reference method recommended by the European Committee on Antimicrobial Susceptibility Testing (EUCAST), whereby the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) is determined. There are several commercial systems for the MIC method for susceptibility determinations of bacteria. The commercial systems have been developed and validated primarily for human microbiology.
