Description

Groundwater remediation is carried out by extraction, purification (P & T) and subsequent pure filtration of the groundwater at the upper current limit of the damage area. On the one hand, the aim is to remove pollutant mass from the area of the secondary source and, on the other hand, to stimulate the natural degradation of pollutants. Depending on the results of the first year of operation, an addition of nitrate to the pure filtered water is retrofitted if necessary. In the first year of operation, it will first be examined to what extent the availability of electron acceptors in areas where there are currently low nitrate concentrations (< 5 mg/l) improves solely by the extraction of groundwater and clean filtration of the purified water. A removal and reinfiltration of 1.25 l/s up to a maximum of 2.0 l/s is planned. The groundwater purification system consists of the following components: Supply container, pre-treatment + sand filter and activated carbon cleaning plant
