United Kingdom-Bridgend: Social work services
Bridgend County Borough Council (the Council), intends to award 3 separate contracts (Lots) to Organisations that have experience of delivering high-quality outcome focused Supported Living Services to adults with a learning disability. The Services to be commissioned will embrace person centred and co-production approaches in order to enable, empower and support service users to live as independently as possible.
Each Lot will comprise a number of Supported Living Schemes located across the geographical area of Bridgend County Borough. The commissioned Service will include the delivery of Care Support and Housing Related Support. For those Service Users assessed as requiring support to access localised day activities, the Service will also include appropriate assistance within the community to enable them to live full and valued lives.
The Council is committed to enabling Service Users to achieve their full potential and achieve maximum levels of independence within their local communities. As such, the Council seeks to appoint Providers who will implement innovative and flexible approaches to Service delivery.
The Agreement Period will be for 3 years with an option for the Council to extend the Agreement for up to a further 24 months. The length of the Agreement reflects the Councils wider strategic intentions for reconfiguring learning disability services. Bidders can submit tenders for more than 1 Lot; however no more than 1 Lot will be awarded to a single bidder.
