Description

Karlstad University is one of the youngest universities in the country.
Our education and research are conducted in close dialogue with business and public activities.
There is one of the country’s most inspiring university environments with proximity and openness between people.
There are currently around 16 000 students in any of the 70 educational programmes or 900 courses offered by Karlstad University. Doctoral training is given on 27 subjects and there are around 270 doctoral candidates here.
The university employs around 1 200 employees. The economic turnover was approximately SEK 1 000 000 000 in 2013.
The University of Karlstad buys fruit annually into or into fruit baskets for staff for over SEK 700 000.
Today, a number of different suppliers are used for ongoing orders. The University now intends to procure a framework contract with one (1) supplier for all deliveries for the whole university.
