Description

The Deutsche Bundesbank intends to conclude a framework agreement on external consultancy and support services in the Linux Engineering sector, focusing on:
Lot 1: Focus: Engineering Linux System Management:
The objective of the project is to implement the Red Hat Enterprise Linux server operating system for virtual and physical server systems and to integrate it into the existing infrastructure of the x86 environment. The virtual server systems are provided within a VMware vSphere 6.0 environment. The focus of the support is to integrate Red Hat Satellite 6.1 as a system management solution. The following functionalities shall be considered: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.1 Installation, Software Distribution, System Configuration, Patch Management, Inventory and Compliance Check.
The main technical priorities are as follows:
— Design concept and implementation of Red Hat Satellite 6.1 for a Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.1 environment;
— Implementation of software/patch/release management and compliance requirements,
— Implementation of the automated installation of Red Hat Enterprise (RHEL) virtual and physical server systems,
— Consideration and integration of the system management solution into existing services: Microsoft Active Directory, backup and recovery, enterprise monitoring;
— Consideration and integration of administrative tasks in conjunction with the management tools Satellite and the existing VMware vCenter.
Lot 2: Focus: ‘Engineering Linux operating system’:
The objective of the project is to implement a Linux server operating system for virtual and physical server systems and to integrate it into the existing infrastructure of the x86 environment.
The main technical priorities are as follows:
— Design concept and implementation of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.1 (OS Configuration, OS hardening);
— Design and implementation of the cluster solution for Red Hat Enterprise Linux;
— OS Linux integration into existing infrastructure x86 (including deployment within FlexPod),
— Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.1 Integration into existing services: Microsoft Active Directory, backup and recovery, Enterprise Monitoring.
As things stand, 1 consultant per lot (plus one replacement) is needed.
