Description

The Defence Forces may seek to commission a common sighting system for the following weapons: 84mm Carl Gustav Recoilless Rifle (CG RCL) (Mk II, Mk III and Mk IV) 40mm H&K Grenade Machine Gun (GMG) 12.7mm FN Heavy Machine Gun (GMG). The MWDFSS may comprise of a day-optic, ballistic calculator, ]laser range finder (LRF), uncooled-thermal optic and spare parts. It is expected that a MWDFSS may be delivered complete with the requisite mounting-brackets, cables, pouches etc., which are typically required for such a system. An MWDFSS is expected to be suitable for use by day and by night and in in typical EUROPEAN, MIDDLE-EASERN and NORTH-AFRICAN climates. The weapons stipulated above are issued to combat and combat support units and used in the ground role. In-addition to the supply of the MWDFSS (and spare parts) a support/logistic agreement (SLA) may be sought for the purpose of: Training: weapon instructors & commanders; technicians; weapon operators. Maintenance. Supporting the conduct of live fire shoots to provide advice on the tactical employment and best use of the MWDFS.
