The Biozentrum Klein Flottbek of the UHH is home to the Institute of Plant Sciences and Microbiology (IPM). The appointment of an infection professorship at the IPM requires extensive construction and renovation measures to create the necessary premises and infrastructure for research and teaching. The objective of the project: - Providing and adapting the work and research infrastructure to the needs of the professor - furnishing and renovating premises that meet the requirements of research. - Incorporating sustainable building practices and renewing technologies to maximise energy efficiency. Equipment of the professorship and planned construction measures: - Basic refurbishment of offices (approx. 176 m2) - Basic refurbishment of S1, S2 laboratories and possibly S1 genetic engineering. (approx. 356 m2) - Renovation and repair work in corridors (approx. 261 m2) As part of the project, extensive renovation and repair measures are planned on the 1st floor of the Otto Warburg House at the IPM.
