Description

The Assignment described in this tender procedure concerns the realization of the renovation of the Central Library at Hoogstraat 110 in the municipality of Rotterdam. The work exists in principals 1. Removing asbestos and chromium pollution 2. Demolition work loading pit and part hull 3. Expanding cellar bin for bicycle parking with tapis roulant 4. Self-supporting glass waterfall facade 5. Installation and installation of overhauled and new escalators 6. Building new facade with window frames, doors and windows 7. Building new interior walls 8. New interior design with high-quality custom furniture 9. New installations to be installed with WKO 10. Transpose cables and pipes and move transformers 11. Green roofs The working area and the immediate vicinity is located in an inner-city area with all the associated facilities such as houses (including high-rise buildings), shops, schools, a weekly large-scale market on Binnenrotte and Hoogstraat, public transport (buses, trams, underground train station, taxis), many traffic movements (trucks, passenger cars, cyclists, pedestrians) and internationally visited tourist attractions (Kubuswoningen, Markthal). In addition, the planning area is within the sphere of influence of the Prorail rail tunnel with associated restrictions to the area activity. A further limitation is the maintenance of the district transformer in the library building and other (underground) utilities located within this planning area. In order to limit the influences in the immediate vicinity as much as possible, the following measures and facilities are foreseen/affected: - Almost all market stalls on Hoogstraat (on the north side of the library building) will be moved so that this sidewalk part can be used by the contractor. Four places will still have to be accommodated around the work area. This part of the Hoogstraat remains in use for traffic. - No transport movements during market days - Work site design in accordance with the drawing attached to the specifications - There must be frequent communication towards the immediate environment, for example by means of current building signs / construction fence cloths. For further information, reference is made to the tender specifications and related documents once the competition procedure has been opened.
