Description

The target of the procurement is rehabilitative day activities for the elderly for residents of the Kymenlaakso wellbeing services area. The purpose of rehabilitative day activities for the elderly is to support the living at home of the elderly by promoting, maintaining and restoring the comprehensive functional capacity and well-being of the customers. Rehabilitative day activities are planned rehabilitative activities that are part of the customer's service package. Rehabilitative day activities can also be utilised in the organisation of statutory days off for informal care. The clients of the elderly's rehabilitative day activities are, as a rule, over 65 years of age, whose living at home can be supported by participation in group-based activities outside the home. The grounds for starting rehabilitative day activities may be, for example, maintaining and improving physical function, memory disorder, changes in life situation, the absence or narrowing of the social network, challenges to social function and perceived reduced quality of life.
