Le Réseau Hospitalo-Universitaire (RHU) SyStInn porté par le Pr Dumontet et soutenu par l'Agence Nationale de la Recherche (ANR) a pour objectif d'évaluer le potentiel anticancéreux d'un stimulant du système immunitaire inné en clinique, HEPHA-440. En vue d'obtenir une approbation d'utilisation chez l'humain par les agences réglementaires de santé, il est nécessaire au préalable de tester la toxicité d'HEPHA-440 chez l'animal sur l'ensemble de l'organisme selon les normes en vigueur appelées « Bonnes Pratiques de Laboratoire » (BPL).
