Hankinnan kohteena on moottoritutkimukseen sopiva, konttimainen tutkimusympäristö (ns. Hybridikontti), jossa voidaan tutkia vedyn, ammoniakin ja alkoholipolttoaineiden toimintaa moottorissa. Hankittava kontti tulee sijoittumaan Varsinais-Suomeen, mutta lopullinen, tarkka sijoituspaikka selviää vasta vuoden 2025 alussa. Hankinta liittyy HybridiKontti – Synteettisten uusiutuvien moottoripolttoaineiden tutkimusalusta -hankkeeseen (A80326/A80328), joka on Euroopan unionin osarahoittama.
