Description

The Kruth-Wildenstein dam, which is owned by the département, is a class A dam within the meaning of Article R 214-112 of the Environmental Code allowing a maximum of 11 600 000 m³ of water to be retained at the normal retention value of 545 m NGF. Built from 1962 to 1964 to support the stretches of the Thur, which is still highly industrialised, it also has a function of retaining floods in winter. It is a very stable structure such as ‘Weight barrier without clay core’, but with an upstream sealed bituminous concrete cladding. This protection consists of 4 successive layers of bituminous concrete: 2 sealing layers and 2 mechanical protection layers.
The upstream facing shows signs of ageing.
The subject of this contract is the project management for these waterproofing renewal works.
