Das Projekt VDE 8.3 ETCS-Neuausrüstung Bitterfeld - Halle (Saale) umfasst die Ausrüstung des vorgenannten Streckenabschnittes (Strecke 6132) mit ETCS Level 2 (mit Signalen) des Ausrüsters Hitachi Rail GTS Deutschland GmbH (früher Thales Deutschland). Inhalt der Ausschreibung ist die vollständige Abnahmeprüfung der ETCS-Ausrüstung inklusive der damit verbundene ESTW-Anteile des gleichen Ausrüsters.
