PL-Krakow: snow-clearing services
1. Description of the subject of the contract:
1) the subject matter of the contract is a service consisting of the permanent maintenance of pedestrians, access roads and parking spaces at buildings under the management of the ZBK (Municipal Municipality of Kraków). The subject matter of the contract was divided into 9 lots (maintenance areas). Location and surfaces are given in Annex 5 to the ToR;
(2) the contract consists of 9 lots:
— part 1 – includes the maintenance zone I according to the list annexed to the ToR,
— part 2 – includes maintenance zone II according to the list annexed to the ToR,
— part 3 – includes maintenance zone III according to the list annexed to the ToR,
— part 4 – includes maintenance zone IV according to the list annexed to the ToR,
— part 5 – includes a maintenance zone V as listed to the ToR,
— part 6 – includes maintenance zone VI according to the list annexed to the ToR,
— part 7 – includes a maintenance zone VII as listed to the ToR,
— part 8 – includes maintenance zone VIII according to the list annexed to the ToR,
— part 9 – includes maintenance zone IX according to the list annexed to the ToR;
(3) The Contractor shall comply with the following conditions:
(a) pedestrian strings:
— sown and sprinkled by sand with 30 % admixture of road salt (white maintenance) up to 6 hours after rainfall has ceased;
(b) access roads and parking areas:
— sown and sprinkled by sand with 30 % admixture of road salt (white maintenance) up to 6 hours after the rainfall has ceased (with full availability);
(C) snow quenched in designated places not impeding communication. (In case of accumulation of large amounts of snow exported to the area specified by the contracting authority.);
(D) in the case of continuous snowfall, ongoing work;
(e) for each accounting period, the Contractor shall draw up a (monthly) report;
(F) The Contractor is required to assess the situation in the maintenance area and must react accordingly, notifying the Contracting Authority (the dispatcher);
(g) The Contractor must demonstrate that he has teams of people, equipment and material (sand) for the duration of the execution of the contract;
(H) the Contractor must, at the request of the Contracting Authority, carry out a joint audit of the work carried out;
(I) the Contractor must ensure 24/7 communications by fixed telephone with fax, plus mobile, on the day of signature of the contract;
(J) the Contractor shall be liable under civil law for damage to persons and property during the term of the contract;
4) for failure to comply with the conditions set out in the ToR in Part I, point 1.3(a), (b) and (c), the contracting authority will impose on the contractor a penalty of 10 % of the value of the task for the month in question;
5) In completing the Tender Form – annex to the ToR – the Contractor declares that the services offered meet the requirements of the Contracting Authority set out in the ToR;

2. Time limit for performance of the contract: from 1.11.2011 to 31.3.2013 for 2 maintenance periods, i.e.
01/11/2011 – 31/03/2012

3. The contractor may submit a tender for any quantity of lots.
