Gegenstand der Vergabe ist die Bereitstellung und der Betrieb einer sog. Bezahlplattform (BPF), die sämtliche elektronischen Zahlungen im RMV-Vertrieb abwickelt. Die BPF speichert die Zahldaten der Kunden, ermöglicht die Kommunikation der angeschlossenen Vertriebssysteme mit der Bankenwelt, verarbeitet die Zahltransaktionen, die von den angeschlossenen Vertriebssystemen ausgelöst werden, und überwacht fehlgeschlagene oder außerordentliche Transaktionen.
