Description

The construction project ‘Neubau am Geomatikum – NaG’ of the University of Hamburg is located on the site of Bundesstr. 55 south of the transport node Beim Schlump – Bundesstr. The building runs parallel to the ‘Beim Schlump’ road. The new construction consists of a compact 7-storey polygonal institute structure with some parts. 2 basement levels located at a sufficient distance from the shrub pencil and directly connected to the northern side of the geomatics. At the mouth of the elbow, the structure is reduced by two levels, which results in the overall structure being divided visually into two components. The eastern construction at the road crossing serves as the main entrance building with a high building atrium for the main development and contains mainly administration, office space, cafeteria and lecture rooms. The western, compact and orthogonal structure, which also partly owns two basement levels, mainly contains laboratory and research rooms.
