Austria-Vienna: Transport services (excl. Waste transport)
In order to tighten the supply of high-speed trains and to increase seating capacity as a result of increasing demand in the urban area, once the infrastructure development of the Marchegger Ostbahn in the Vienna section has been completed, traffic on the western-east urban axis of the S-Bahn will be expanded and increased.
In the Vienna Hütteldorf and Vienna Aspern Nord section (with all intermediate stops), 10 additional trains will run on the S-Bahn (line S80) Monday to Friday (if working day), and up to 18 additional trains in the Vienna Central Station and Vienna Aspern Nord section (with all intermediate stops).
In addition, all trains on line S80 to Vienna Aspern Nord, which end today in Vienna Erzherzog-Karl-Straße, are to be extended.
