Description

The n_TOF installation of CERN is the source of neutrons with the highest instantaneous intensity for the measurement of effective neutron sections. CIEMAT's Nuclear Innovation Unit, together with other Spanish groups (IFIC-CSIC, UPC and US), participate in CERN's n_TOF collaboration. The lines of activity proposed by CIEMAT contemplate the construction and use of new detectors for the measurement of effective sections in the experimental areas EAR2 and NEAR of n_TOF. The inclusion of these detectors in the experiments requires the expansion of the procurement system to manage the growing number of detectors. Therefore, the acquisition by CIEMAT of 13 high-performance digitizing cards similar to those that make up the acquisition system of the n_TOF experiment is necessary, which allow to increase the acquisition of data during the experiments.
