Description

On behalf of the City of Frankfurt am Main, the Verkehrsgesellschaft Frankfurt am Main mbH (VGF) awards the planning services for the light signalling systems (LSA) as part of the technical equipment and structural design. The services are part of two closely interlinked infrastructure projects: Lot 1: ‘Four-track extension of the Hauptbahnhof tram stop including the redesign of the adjacent traffic areas’ and Lot 2: ‘Redesign of Düsseldorfer Straße including the Platz der Republik stop’ Both measures aim to increase the capacity of the Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof public transport hub and to promote cycling and walking through barrier-free crossings and a comprehensive cycling infrastructure. They are in line with the 2021 local transport plan and the decision on the cycling city of Frankfurt (2019). The planning services are commissioned in stages and are based on the relevant regulations of the HOAI: Technical equipment according to §§ 53 et seq.: Stage 1: Performance phases 3 to 5 (design planning, approval planning, execution planning) Stage 2 (optional): Performance phases 6 to 7 (preparation of the award, participation in the award) Level 3 (optional): Implementation of service phases 8 to 9 (object supervision – construction supervision and documentation, object supervision) Structural design in accordance with §§ 49 et seq.: Stage 1: Performance phases 1 to 5 (basic assessment, preliminary planning, design planning, approval planning, implementation planning) Stage 2 (optional): Implementation of the performance phase 6 (preparation of the award) The commissioning of stages 2 and 3 (per lot) is optional and depends on the respective project.
