Description

North Karelia Welfare Region – Siun sote will make a direct purchase of the professional family care needed for the services of the elderly from Ruunaa MetsäKoti Oy as of 1 July 2024 and will continue until further notice. Ruunaan MetsäKoti Oy has previously provided family care under contract to Siun sote. The activities will be transformed into professional family care as of 1 July 2024. The five Siun Sote clients who have been in long-term family care will continue in professional family care with the same service provider after the change. Arranging a tender or changing the service provider would be manifestly unreasonable and particularly inappropriate to secure a care or client relationship that is significant for the client. In addition, Siun sote purchases long-term, short-term and part-day professional family care from MetsäKoti Oy in Ruunaa, Finland. In addition to the company in question, there are two service providers providing professional family care for the elderly in the Siun Sote area, both of which already provide contractual professional family care for Siun Sote. There are no other options for professional family care for the elderly in the Siun Sote area. For technical or exclusivity reasons, only a specific supplier may carry out the procurement. An additional condition is that there are no reasonable alternative or substitute solutions and that the absence of competition is not due to an artificial narrowing down of the terms of the procurement.
