Description

This is not a prior information notice, a contract notice or a call for tenders and the publication of a notice does not trigger a call for competition. The aim is to employ young construction professionals in the infrastructure contracts of their district. The City of Helsinki has launched the RAMMAUS project, in which the city invites companies to employ young people in infrastructure construction projects in their own neighbourhoods. The City intends to make use of the employment condition in its infrastructure contract procurements located in urban renewal areas. Employment measures will be launched in the urban renewal areas of Malmi, Malminkartano-Kannelmäki, Mellunkylä and Meri-Rastila as of spring 2025. Contractors are required to offer unemployed construction professionals aged between 18 and 30 jobs lasting between 6 and 9 months. Depending on the size of the contract, 1-3 experts will be employed for one contract at a time. Businesses will benefit directly and indirectly from a new form of local social responsibility. For a company, employing young people is an HR act and a brand act. Cooperation can strengthen the employment prospects of young people, increase local pride and reduce the risk of social exclusion. The market dialogue will take place via Teams on 10 March 2025 from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. The event will provide information on what the application of the employment condition means for the company in practice and what kind of support the city offers (e.g. support from the Helsinki Employment Services to find suitable unemployed construction sector experts and the Helsinki supplement to pay). We also address the direct benefits of employment for companies, such as HR and brand benefits. Registrations for the event are requested by Friday 7 March 2025 at 13.00 at the latest to the following address: kymp.infrahankinnat@hel.fi Welcome!
