UK-East Kilbride: foreign economic-aid-related services
DFID is seeking a Service Provider to manage a fund and provide an efficient and effective contracting function. The objective is to deliver timely and cost effective Technical Assistance to support the overall aim of improving health outcomes through improved public health provision in Bangladesh. This will include: financial and contract management; monitoring of performance and results; and secretariat and logistical services; to the Joint Donor Technical Assistance Fund of the national health sector programme in Bangladesh, specifically the Ministry of Health and Family welfare. DFID Bangladesh will be the fund holder of the Joint Donor Technical Assistance Fund. Technical Assistance sourced under the Fund may include: skilled and experienced persons / teams, providing a range of capacity building assignments, undertaking a range of activities and tasks which assist the implementation or review of the national Health, Population and Nutrition Sector Development Programme. The majority of activities and tasks are likely to be related to health systems strengthening and / or managerial support. This contract will be for a period of 4 years, starting from mid-2012, with extension options up to 2 years, on successful completion of the contract and ongoing requirements of the programme needs.
