Il GSE ha numerosi sistemi e applicazioni critiche basate su software prodotti dalla società Oracle Italia. L’importanza di questi sistemi e applicazioni rende necessaria l’acquisizione di servizi specialistici di supporto erogati unicamente dalla società Oracle Italia in quanto:
1) è l’unico operatore in possesso dei codici sorgente;
2) ha accesso alla struttura dei laboratori di sviluppo Oracle Corporation;
3) ha accesso alla struttura del Supporto Oracle in qualsiasi momento in modalità privilegiata, sia per risolvere eventuali problemi di prodotto tramite l’acquisizione di patches o workaround, sia per acquisire il know-how aziendale disponibile per specifiche aree tematiche;
4) ha accesso a informazioni riservate presenti sulla Intranet, i Forum e i Repository di Oracle Corporationche permettono di reperire informazioni, documentazione e best practice che qualificano e differenziano le competenze e conoscenze delle risorse appartenenti a Oracle Consulting.
