Description

Currently, the coverage of the building complex of the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) against fire risk and related risks is covered by a framework contract (No 06C60/2021/FWK/ M014/2CNT(2021)-106), signed by the European Parliament following an interinstitutional procurement procedure conducted by the European Parliament for the Union institutions and bodies based in Luxembourg and due to expire on 31 October 2025. Following the conclusion of the Reflection Group on property and casualty insurance contracts of the Union institutions and bodies based in Luxembourg, noted at the CALux meeting of 26 June 2024, to launch separate invitations to tender per institution for fire and related risks insurance upon expiry of the current interinstitutional contract, the CJEU launched its own invitation to tender to cover these needs. In the competitive procedure with negotiation CURIA/2025/CPN/0002, since no tender had been submitted by the deadline for receipt of tenders, which was 11 September 2025, it was decided not to award the contract; to close the procedure as unsuccessful (no tenders) and to publish a non-award notice (No 636797-2025 of 30/09/2025). This notice is intended to inform economic operators in the fire insurance sector, as well as any other interested parties, about the forthcoming use by the Court of Justice of a negotiated procedure without prior publication of a contract notice, in accordance with the provisions of Regulation (EU, Euratom) 2024/2509 covering the buildings of the CJEU against fire and related risks, by means of ‘all risks except’ insurance. The property insured is the CJEU’s building complex and its content.
