Description

Architectural and engineering services in accordance with HOAI as general planner.
In the recreation area of the city of Mühlhausen there is an open-air bathing facility from the 1950s, consisting of two basins (beach and competition ponds), large berths and various playgrounds. The bath and swimming areas are to be created in this complex of installations.
The bath is immediately adjacent to a rudder pond. Due to its location, the site has a very high level of groundwater.
The total construction costs are capped at EUR 4500000 (gross). The budget must be respected.
Once the funding possibilities have been clarified, the construction project is planned to be completed by May 2014.
More specifically, the following sections are planned:
1. Demolition of the existing beach basin (approx. 3 000 m², concrete), competition basin (20 x 50 m; Approx. 1.80 m to 4.80 m deep, concrete/tiles) and towers (5/3/1 m, concrete),
2. New construction of a combined stainless steel basin approx. 1 000 m²; with a flat-off beach area; 25 m – Competition tracks (1.80 m deep) and attractions (e.g. slides). As an option, a 1 m/3 m – leap tower,
3. New construction of a separate small children’s play area with appropriate water players,
4. Construction of the necessary technical area for water treatment,
5. Construction of a new sanitary and changing area;
Adaptation of the surrounding open areas to the new circumstances, including redesign of the entrance area.
