Description

Short description CTP Field view: The Center for Transcultural Psychiatry (CTP) Veldzicht is a Rijkskliniek in the Overijsselse Balkbrug (part of the Judicial Institutions Service of the Ministry of Justice and Security) that focuses on providing psychiatric care and forensic psychiatric care to patients with a non-Dutch background. There are patients with very different legal statuses and healthcare titles. Among others, asylum seekers, undocumented persons, aliens with TBS, aliens in criminal law and administrative aliens. There is also a department where patients for whom there is no suitable place (anymore) in the regular mental health care (so-called Intensive Care patients) can be treated temporarily. A total of 180 patients can be admitted to the clinic. In many cases, patients return to the institution they came from after their treatment. The intended result of the project is to expand the capacity of CTP Veldzicht by means of a number of renovations, new construction and enlarging the site within the perimeter.
