Germany-Stuttgart: Engineering services
Presentation of the project:
On behalf of the Federal Republic of Germany, the Land of Baden-Württemberg plans to extend the Federal Motorway 6 between Kirchberg and the BW/BY border. The aim is to draw up and present in text and plan a concept for a 6-strong extension of the Federal motorway A 6, balancing all relevant criteria. To this end, a draft RE that can be approved should be drawn up in accordance with the current guidelines for the design of uniform design documents for road construction (RE).
Road construction description:
The total length of the design route is 12.6 km.
Start of the planning route: BAB-km approx. 693.8 (after AS Kirchberg),
End of the planning route: BAB-km approx. 706.4 (national border BW/BY).
Variants:
A distinction is made in principle between symmetrical and asymmetrical roll-outs. Four possible extension options for the planned six-pronged extension of the Federal Motorway 6 (symmetrical extension, asymmetric north extension, asymmetrical extension south, combination of sym.- and asymmetric north-south development) should be investigated.
Planning description:
— The planning services are to be contracted in accordance with the HOAI applicable at the time of the conclusion of the contract after service phases 1 and 2 and, optionally, service phases 3 and 4.
— The design elements must be adapted in accordance with the guidelines for the construction of motorways (RAA).
— The six-pronged motorway extension should be foreseen as a full extension.
— The existing parking areas and resting facilities are not subject to processing, and the entrances and exits must be adapted accordingly to the new route of the A6 route.
— The existing connecting points must be overplanned.
— Noise abatement measures must be designed and taken into account in planning, taking into account urban planning and topographical conditions. The necessary sound tests for this purpose will also be commissioned. The sound management study is to be carried out with the Sound Plan programme. If these services cannot be provided themselves, a suitable subcontractor must be identified.
— Existing forced points, such as the connections to the existing or newly planned route and the existing bridge structures, which must in principle be renewed, are to be included in the design.
— The drainage requirements must be reviewed at the planning stage and adapted to the stock (if necessary, they must be redesigned if necessary).
— The construction project must be carried out under current traffic. To this end, the feasibility of all the measures relevant to the construction (development stages, number of lanes, etc.) must be taken into account, checked and demonstrated when planning.
A detailed description of the project will be provided with the application files.
