Czech Republic-Nové Město na Moravě: Miscellaneous medical devices and products
The subject-matter of the contract under this tendering procedure is the supply of a medical device – 1 piece of controlled hypothermia equipment for use in the contracting authority’s Iktuck Centre. The apparatus is an essential device in the care of patients after a cardiac arrest. According to current knowledge, any such patient must be cooled to 32-34 °C in the first 24 hours after stopping. This temperature reduction has a certain protective effect on brain tissue. A controlled reduction in the patient’s central temperature is now also starting to be used in the treatment of other conditions associated with brain injury (strokes, trauma). The therapeutic result (measured by the degree of brain disability) is statistically better in cooled patients. Part of the subject-matter of the supply is transport to the premises of the contracting authority, assembly and entry into service, instruction of operators pursuant to Section 22 of Act No 123/2000 on medical devices and amending certain related acts, as amended (min. 1 working day), the provision of full free warranty service security for a period of 24 months.
