Description

We would like to invite you to submit a tender for the construction and main project of the Palosaari kindergarten and for the tasks of the main contractor in accordance with the tender specifications. Side contracts are subordinated to the main contractor by means of a subordination agreement. The construction project must be renovated Palosaari school, which will be converted into a Palosaari kindergarten and located in the Palosaari district of the city of Vaasa, at Wolffintie 25, 65200 Vaasa. The building represents a rare Art Nouveau style in Vaasa. The Palosaari school was designed by Fredrik Thesleff and completed in 1906. The building was originally completed as a Finnish-language elementary school and has served as a school until 2016. The building served as a temporary facility for the Old Vaasa School until autumn 2022. The building is a three-storey plastered massive brick building and the school was expanded in 1952 with a 3-storey extension wing by Ingvald Serenius. The most recent major renovation was carried out in the early 1990s. The total area to be renovated in the building, taking into account the extensions (lift-car storage, iv-engine rooms and yard storages), is approximately 2600 brm2. On the same plot there is also a gym and canteen building (completed in 1952), which is thought to be separated into its own plot. The contract form is a shared contract, in which the building contractor acts as the main contractor and as the main implementer within the meaning of the legislation.
