The target of the procurement is the translation services to be procured for the Centre for the Development and Administration of Centres for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment (KEHA Centre). The aim of the procurement measure is to develop uniform translation functions in terms of practices and terminology to meet the needs of the different units of the KEHA Centre and their internal and external customers. Translation services mainly focus on translations from Finnish into Swedish and English, as well as, possibly to a minor extent, other types of translations within those languages. The implementation of the procurement is based on the KEHA Centre's different translation needs, and its purpose is to clarify the practices of on-demand translation work and to follow a unified communication policy. As the role of the KEHA Centre expanded in early 2025, its translation service needs also increased. In 2025, the KEHA Centre has produced a significant number of reports, publications and guidelines, and coordinates related translation services. The aim of the procurement is to achieve uniform practices, the quality of translations and the use of the right terminology between different publications. The work consists of commissioned translation services, mainly text-based, which require the supplier to be familiar with the most common word processing, presentation and layout programmes, such as MS Word (doc, docx), PowerPoint (ppt, pptx), InDesign (indd), Excel (xls, xlsx). In addition, the tenderer must have the ability to process psd, svg, pdf, srt and json files and deliver translations in these formats, if necessary. Translations may also be requested in other formats. The requirements are specified in full in this invitation to tender and its annexes. The total amount of work is estimated at around 2500-4000 translation pages per year in Finnish, Swedish and English. The length of the translation page is 1560 characters with spaces. If necessary, the translation work can also consist of video material on a very small scale. The figures are non-binding estimates and do not bind the subscriber. The agreement is expected to enter into force in 2025 and will be fully implemented in all KEHA Centre units from the beginning of 2026. The full details of the contract are set out in Annex 1 to this invitation to tender. "Description of the subject of the contract".
