D-Brunswick: Engineering services
New construction of a pharmaceutical technology centre at Braunschweig University of Technology.
A new pharmaceutical technology centre (PVZ) is planned for Braunschweig University of Technology. The aim of this centre is to promote interdisciplinary cooperation between pharmaceuticals, process technology and microtech and to pool the competences of the three disciplines.
Research will aim at tailor-made, product-friendly and cost-effective development and production of future medicines, as well as the development of miniaturised active substance and pharmaceutical production facilities to produce small patient-friendly quantities of personalised medicines.
The new research will be built in Braunschweig am Langen Kamp in immediate proximity to existing process technology buildings and close to the pharmaceutical buildings.
The new building will have a main useful floor area of 3 277 m², of which:
— 1 354 m² of space for offices, meeting rooms and archives,
— 1 502 m² of laboratory surfaces and
— 421 m² of technical areas.
The PVZ will include 127 workstations.
The total construction costs (KG 200-600) are estimated at EUR 19750000.
As part of this VOF procedure, technical equipment for the building in accordance with Section 53 HOAI, service phase 2-8, is to be awarded for the new building, divided into three lots.
The contract will initially only be awarded for phase 2, including an extended cost estimate. Sub-contracting will also be carried out on a step-by-step basis, depending on compliance with the cost framework, the award of the works contract and the provision of the necessary budget (see II.2.2).
Site planning and other technical designs (work design, etc.) will be awarded separately.
