Disc brakes (with two-part crown) for M6 metro vehicles
The subject of this contract is the conclusion of a framework agreement for the supply of disc brakes (according to plan) for the maintenance of M6 metro vehicles (which were manufactured by CAF). The discs will be of the ‘Proven Design’ type, which means that an existing concept must be used, the reliability of which can be demonstrated by referring to applications in the field of public transport by rail. This means an average of 100 to 180 disc brakes per year from 2024, and the supplier must provide for a buffer stock of around 184 disc brakes. These disc brakes (with a MOQ of 8 pieces) must be able to be delivered to STIB within 20 days after the order (under call). The quantities are based on a rolling forecast with the quantity for the first year (2024) being firm. After this period, the quantities may be adjusted by mutual agreement. The estimated value of this contract is between 1.100.000€ and 1.500.000€ over a period of 96 months or 8 years. The number of successful tenderers envisaged is preferably 2, allowing the second highest ranked tenderer, in descending order, to act as a back-up.
