Description

New construction of a research building of the partner institutes Deutsches Zentrum für Neurodegenerative Diseases (DZNE-G) and the Institute for Biostructural Imaging of Neurodegeneration (BIN).
The site is the area between the skin clinic and psychiatry on the Göttingen University Medicine campus between the ‘Am Vogelsang’ road and the ‘Von-Siebold Street’. The area becomes an open-air area by demolition of the caretaker building and the House of Agricultural Science. The remaining buildings will be removed as part of the pre-construction measures.
The building must be constructed on a generous surface area in a structurally heterogeneous environment. Due to the soil hydrological situation on the site, subcotting (partial subcotting) of the building is feasible and planned.
The groundwork is based on a uniform building roof grid for the load-bearing and extension of 1.2 m and will be constructed in reinforced concrete.
The new construction consists of 4 full floors, a partial basement and a reset technical centre. The two-layer structure responds to the length of the building, trained in U-shaped, and requires three necessary stairwells.
The central staircase between the two parts of the building serves as the main development. The Institute building of the DZNE-G and BIN includes, in some cases, various laboratory surfaces, areas for animal husbandry for research purposes, administrative areas, communication and seminar areas, and technical areas.
The upper edge of the ground floor shall have a height OKFFB = 159.05 m above sea level (= ± 0.00 m rel.), which will be approximately 50 cm above the road level. The basement floor is designed at a height of 3.75 m rel., corresponding to 155.30 m above sea level, and thus attaches 3 to 4 metres to the site.
